…Like it doesn’t matter what you do or try, the outcome is the same and it is frustrating? Creative and sexual juiciness is held in the energy center below the belly button.
“Consider a different way of engaging with a problem.” Hah! That is easier said than done, especially if you’re deep in the metaphorical rut – so deep that it is more like a ravine….
Women in our society are taught to “suck it in” or “suck it up”, thus tucking our bellies away, and the power of creative juices are held deep inside. We also have the visual barrage on media that a sexy belly is a flat one.
It is incongruent – the mind works against the body, energy and spirit to “accomplish” weight loss. Weight is a deep rut for many women in our North American society. Instead of celebrating the luxurious softness of femininity, there is a constant striving to be stick thin.
I remember I having a conversation with a friend about her frustration over not loosing weight. She’d done all of the “right” things. She took up a sport, hard-core. Her diet was religiously adhered to… And there was still a roll around her tummy that just wouldn’t vanish. I suggested that she get creative with her approach. She looked at me incredulously.
“What about being really excited about what you’re eating? Finding sensual foods that satiate your craving even make it a sexy experience, sometimes.”
She laughed and said at this point, she’d give anything a try.
The next step is bigger and could be too much of a leap. Consider that women are soft and sexy and creative. We can have it all and more! It is possible to be all you are and more – with ease. Not with restraint or constraint or withholding.
