It is something to laugh about, something to cry about and definitely something to give thanks for…
Why?!!!!
Because of the “hot flashes”.
You must be joking!
No, I’m not. The hot flashes act like a toilet. All of the sh__ you have been holding onto over the years, gets flushed by surges of energy.
Women change during perimenopause: energetically (the blocks get melted away), emotionally (you don’t relate to the world in the same way) and physically (it can be a time of rejuvenation – increased libido, less sleep required, and a spring in the step.)
This is what CAN happen when women don’t resist the change. If they continue to relate to the world in the same old way, they will likely get very stressed. Is this you? Some symptoms are listed in the workshop description https://www.workingwithwellness.ca/workshops/.
There are other solutions, other than the medical solution – becoming aware of emotional patterns such as: taking care of everyone else, pushing through all obstacles, running away from conflict. Instead , ask: “what do I want right now?” or “What would happen if I didn’t push through this obstacle?”
The chakras have different emotional and physical issues attributed to them. So, for example, if your hot flashes originate in your gut – that may be a clue to repressed creativity or sexual expression. If they start in your throat – you may not be expressing yourself. If you have hip or sacral pain – there may be unresolved family issues. Exploring your menopausal “challenges” through this lens can result in deeper self-understanding and transformation. AND the beautiful thing is that you have all of your life experiences to draw upon – “the change” may not be a difficult as you perceive. This is the work that I do with women during perimenopause.
